I'll take that as a compliment. Food's meant to be enjoyed.

I prefer healthier things, honestly. Nothing feels nicer than eating a fresh, crisp salad... Fish is good too, especially when it's cooked perfectly. [ Tender and melt-in-your-mouth...! ] Not to mention a number of other foods... Junk food isn't the end-all be-all of enjoyable foods, is what I mean to say. You can do better than simply getting your fingers all greasy and eating fried foods.

Junk food is cheap and tasty. If I could, I'd eat sushi every night instead.

[Which is a different angle on the fish debate, but still. Soyokaze isn't too far from here, is it? ...He tugs on Liz's hand to guide her elsewhere. New dinner plan.]

I don't each much during the day. A smoothie for breakfast and some fruit, yogurt, or nuts for lunch. That's why dinner's fair game, and so are snacks and ice cream. Maybe things would be different if I knew how to cook.

[Elda's teaching him a few things, but he's still hesitant to commandeer the kitchen. He's comfortable in his routine anyway.]

[ Not— not pizza, okay, she can follow easily enough. ]

Akechi's been teaching me a few things since I asked him to... I'm certain he wouldn't mind helping you out as well. He's a very patient teacher, and he'll even eat your mistakes. [ ...She gives him a mischievous smile, adjusting her grip on her house box. ] I've even added extra spice to the curry he's been instructing me on and claimed it was an accident, just to see if he'd still eat it, and he did.

[Liz. Liz, that's evil. Silver almost feels bad for who quickly he grins in kind.]

I wish I could've been around to see his face while he ate it.

It was absolutely delightful.

[ Said with all the joy of someone who knows exactly how mean it was, but knows she can get away with it. ]

I did feel bad about it afterwards, but on the other hand, I think it's good for him to build up a tolerance... [ and this is the way to do it, sure. ]

Forget it, Liz. He's hopeless. Some people just can't handle their spice.

I believe in him. Akechi's already quite changed from when I first met him months ago. I'm certain he can grow to handle something a little spicier than mild in due time.

But hopefully not too quickly. I want to see him make more strained faces.

[On that happy note, here they are! Soyokaze. Soon to vanish into thin air, but for now, a delicious sushi place that everyone should go to at least once. It's not too difficult to get a table that's reasonably private.]

[ Ahh, sushi... Elizabeth hasn't been to Soyokaze before, so she's predictably glancing around, taking it in. It's quite nice, and it's a shame it's disappearing soon, she would've loved coming more—

she'll wait after they've got their food at such to venture back to their earlier conversation, rocking her toro nigiri between her fingers as she tries to decide how to approach the topic. Romantic... ]

About earlier... [ Stunning start, Elizabeth. She's putting wasabi on her tuna, screw it. ] You like me. Romantically, that is.

[ ...STUNNING CONTINUATION, ELIZABETH. At least she's hiding her embarrassment by eating her sushi, it's perfectly... fine... ]

[This is delicious. Absolutely delicious. Even the abrupt conversation turn can't sour the moment.]

Yeah. I mean, I couldn't say something like I love you honestly. Not right now.

[Because that's not his style. Because that would be patently untrue, as far as romantic feelings are concerned. Because Elizabeth isn't an idiot an would know that much. Not the most persuading start, but honestly is the best policy. ...Or maybe he's just a blunt idiot.]

But I like you a lot. You have a fantastic sense of humor. We've known each other for a few months, but talking to you is as easy as talking to an old friend. Spending time with you feels natural, and today was no exception. I'd like to see what we can try and make of that. Maybe we'll end up as lovey dovey as Goro and Akira, maybe not, but I think it's worth giving it a try.

[Either way, they'll have a good experience. Hopefully the sentiment got across, because that's about all that Silver can manage before losing his nerve and ducking his head down to look at his food instead of Elizabeth.]

[ Elizabeth takes her time chewing, savoring her sushi. He likes her a lot (had it been obvious? no, certainly if it was so obvious someone would have commented about it the way she and everyone else took pleasure in picking on Goro about his crush on Akira), and she can't say she doesn't like him, either. They do get along, and it doesn't feel weird when they just hang out or anything like that...

She could say the same about any one of her friends, though. That's where the problem lies—she could really, definitely say the same about those she considers her friends. Goro, Akira, Minako, Yato, Dave, Mizuki...

(She has a lot of guy friends. She hadn't realized it until now.) ]

If you think it's worth a try, then I suppose we can try. [ There's no reason not to, at least. Though— ] I don't believe we'll ever beat Aki and Akechi, even if we wanted to, for the record. They're quite suited in that way, I suppose... It's very cute.

[He fiddles around with his phone for a little while, then locks the screen before turning it around for Liz to see.

That sure is her surprised face on his phone.]

[ ...Oh, um. Is that something people do? She supposes Akechi's phone is the same way, with him and Akira... ]

I'm surprised at how long we can go without seeing each other in there. I bet we just missed Goro.

[It helps the place feel less crowded, and it's not like he minds, but it does give him a little pause.]

Besides, now this is a memory I can never forget. I have it right here.

We're hardly going to forget memories of our present life anyway. [ ...but it's nice, she supposes. Speaking of Goro, though— ] Do you suppose Akechi'll have company when we return? He does seem like the type of person to invite his boyfriend over as soon as he sees the apartment is empty.
