[Silver doesn't do much to announce his presence before bursting into Elizabeth's room; he doesn't knock and instead swings the door wide open, steps in, looks her straight in the eye, and immediately asks-]

Do you want to make out? Since Valentine's Day might be a bust.

[He looks tense, maybe a little frustrated, but if there's anything deeper to what he's feeling, he's too swept up in his burst of inspiration and courage to settle on it.]

[ Elizabeth looks up from her phone

and sets it aside, hands folding in her lap after. ]

Was making out your only plan for Valentine's Day?

[feistytrader]

No, but I can't spontaneously spring my Valentine's Day plans on you.

[Because they uh, require a lot of advance prep work and some willing sacrifices- participants. ...Silver sits down on her bed anyway, not expecting anything in particular for his sudden outburst.]

What's a good rain date? White Day?

[ He'll at least get her leaning on him for his trouble!! White Day? ... ]

That depends when that is.

Valentine's Day's sequel, a month later. It's a holiday where guys give girls chocolates in return for what girls give out the month before. But it doesn't work that way here in the first place, so I don't see why we can't repurpose it.

[Because surely March will be less... Whatever this month is supposed to be.]

[ Surely... surely. ]

Sounds like a plan to me, Silver. [ ... ] Are you worried about this month?

[feistytrader]

...I'm worried about a lot, and there isn't much I can do about any of it.

[That's a little more honest than he'd like. That's a little more blunt than he'd like as well, and he shifts around uncomfortably, as if that counts as an apology.]

[ ...Ah, well, that's only natural. ]

Nor I, nor any of us. [ A soft sigh. ] Do you want to talk about it? I hear I'm a very good listener.

[ Who... still doesn't talk about a lot of her things, and that's a problem, sure, but— ]

We can kiss afterwards if that sweetens the pot any. [ LIZ she's joking, maybe; she'd just like him to be a little more comfortable and she's trying to lighten the mood. ]
