Rue... the sap can be irritating to the skin, right? I could try that, I'd just have to be careful with it.
Lavender might work as well!

lavender's a wonderful pick! and it smells fragrant, and has a use in several other things as well...
as long as you don't make it overpowering, that is. it's quite hard to measure it properly though, i've heard, but when you manage it... your treats become insatiably delectable.

That is true. Lavender's a rather strong smell,
and I already have many floral scents in my garden! It'll have to be enough to notice,
but not enough to overpower everything else I have.
I've never thought about using it for cooking! :o

i'd suggest using it in cooking only if you're a master chef!
but i know a few bakeries who i've heard have some wonderful lavender macarons, and i have an acquaintance who's made me ice cream utilizing it.
the latter is gone now, but perhaps we could visit one of these bakeries together sometime?

I'd love to! I knew lavender could be used for baking, but I haven't even thought about what it might taste like... I imagine it being tea-like?
