[Elizabeth's grin heartens Minako even more, and she nods, face set with determination as she turns away.]
Let's go.
[And with that, she dashes forward back into the fight. Red energy gathers quickly, and another explosion drops, but Minako keeps to the outside of the blast zone this time, and only staggers a little bit from the aftershocks. While Nyx is building up for another attack, she rushes the egg head-on, stabbing into it with her spear.
Before, when she was on her own, she'd been trying to chip at her health little by little, backing away to get out of range before Nyx attacked again. But now, with Elizabeth and Thanatos here, she has the power needed to get a solid hit in. So she ignores the incoming attack, ignores the pulsating light. Minako screams as she wrenches down on her spear, carving through the egg's surface as much as she can.]
[ It's terrifying, but Elizabeth waits and trembles and when Minako calls her name, she waves a hand over her book and raises her voice. ]
Deliver unto them a poetic destruction, Thanatos!
[ Thanatos shrieks as he sends a megidola forward, though he isn't content with just that—no, if he's to deliver on something like poetic destruction, he'll have to follow it, and he does, bidding Elizabeth to step closer as well as he joins Minako attacking the egg. His blade slices neatly just above her, around her, carving in what seems to be a wild frenzy—but Elizabeth wants her to be safe, to be unharmed, and he accounts for that as he lays into Nyx.
It feels like it should be an even heavier drain with the whispers of discontentment around her, but it isn't. She wonders if it's because it's a dream, or if it's because Minako's here, shining so brilliantly... or maybe it's the egg with its pulsating light that is? No, it's definitely Minako, and she urges Thanatos to go harder, go faster, cut deeper.
[Screaming sets something off inside of her. Her nightmares have constantly assaulted her senses before, but tonight she feels so much more, the dread and fear and the weight of the world on her shoulders, as well as the sounds of explosions and the slice of her and Thanatos' blades in the air. Spurred on by Elizabeth's voice, a wave of fury starts to swell inside her, and she yells out again, yanking her spear out and jabbing, stabbing the egg, even though the light is encroaching on her vision and starting to blind her. Where is it all coming from? Does it mean their attacks are working?]
HAAAAHHH!
[She rams it into the egg one more time, right at the instant Thanatos embeds his sword into it as well, and then light engulfs the previously black space, silencing everything.
Minako wakes up in a cold sweat, sitting up and gasping out.]

They have to win, after all. ]
