This does, however, prove that the world isn't flat nor hollow and that there are such things as molepeople. They might accept that reasoning though.
There's higher caves with shops and the like above us which offer cooler temperatures, so when it become unbearable I spend time surveying goods. Would you two like souvenirs?
Um. Actually, they make a game out of the stories they tell about various accidents and the like, so chances are there's certainly more than a few things with tales like that... I'll see what I can find.
