Sausage. Potato and Sausage. Perfect. ]
no subject
Are you picking your favorite foods, or whatever seems right at the time?
[Although he can't say that he isn't curious about the thought that went into it. Is it simply whatever strikes her fancy? Her favorite foods? Perhaps she's simply named Potato after something just as good as her dog.
no subject
[ ...She's a simple girl. Rich and classy and with high-quality tastes, but simple. ]
no subject
How are you going to keep the trend up? Are you just going to go through every breakfast food?
[He says, as if he fully expects Liz to bring home another pet sometime.]
no subject
[ Which... is upsetting in its own way, but she won't dwell on it. She's doing her best to be a dog mom, and she has Goro and Silver helping out... and even her uncle will, if she asks him. And he isn't busy with this or that. ]
We don't really have the space for another, either.
no subject
[It's a given that he and Goro will help out, and he understands having a busy schedule, but...]
What's keeping you away? Your studies?
no subject
[ ...Ah, well. She smiles brightly, wiggling one of Sausage's paws. ]
It's quite a lot, and honestly, October was quite rough on me... but I'm certain I'll be able to finish up the year without issue. Well, provided there isn't anything too terrible happening because of unreality or et cetera.
no subject
So when do you get time to relax? Don't you have any days to yourself?
no subject
[ Which is what her Sundays have largely turned into, yes— she's also managed to have friends, right? So she keeps up some semblance of a social life? And then there's managing to sleep, eat, and all of that... ]
But enough about that. We should pay for these before the workers here get tired of our prattling on, shouldn't we?
no subject
[And with that, he'll get in line- thankfully, it's not too long, but before they reach the front-]
Is there no way you could get another day off?
no subject
[ ...She's firm about it at least, even if she's aware she's pushing her limits and Weird Retrospec Shit doesn't help. ]
I appreciate the concern, but it isn't necessary.
no subject
So if I want to keep sneaking you out like this, I'll have to catch you between your studies.
[He lifts up Liz's dog and sets it down on the counter. Looks like he's covering both of these today.]
no subject
Precisely that. I keep trying to find some time for myself as well, admittedly...
[ hence why at some point during this month she is going to go sit in the velvet room because time feels meaningless in there and despite the fact she dislikes the place it is somehow relaxing ]
no subject
I'm not sure if this counts as time for yourself, but I hope you're enjoying it.
[They are now the proud owners of two cute stuffed animals, and the sun isn't even setting yet. Silver looks down at the weird house boxes they're stored in instead of Elizabeth.]
no subject
I always enjoy spending time with you, Silver. [ Always being most of the time—she can only thing of once or twice she was displeased with his company, and... and it wasn't because they were hanging out, or because of him as a person. It was just because of a difference in opinion.
An importance difference in opinion, but it's hardly a conversation to have in public. She smiles a little and adjusts her box, feeling a phantom soreness in her right arm. ] I've never thanked you for inviting me out to the arcade all those months ago, have I?
no subject
It was fun. I go there myself a lot, but it's always better to have a player two around.
[He's probably not going to get a better opportunity to ask. But how? He doesn't want to be too direct and make Liz nervous or corner her into anything...]
What do you think? Should I take you somewhere more romantic next time?
[That's very clear, and direct, but not too forceful... Maybe it would have been better with a joke at the end, but he's coming up short.]
no subject
Her second, of course, is this was a date and the third is the buying an island thing wasn't subtle. She hums softly, tucking hair behind her ear idly, and wonders what she should say. Should he take her somewhere more romantic next time? Would she want that for next time, or would somewhere normal be better? Well, normal would be better, be easier—
but she did want to let people mean something to her; she did want to let those moments before she graduates mean something, and she exhales slowly as she lets her hand drop to her side and peers at him from the corner of her eye. ]
I think Build-A-Bear is unbeatable when it comes to romance, Silver. [ It's hesitant and soft, but at least she's saying something. ] Let's find somewhere quiet to speak... Rather, I'd like to talk about this first.
no subject
Sure. But before that, I just want you to know that you don't have to answer right away.
[Maybe she'll decide one way or the other in an instant, but it's important that she knows that a third option's there. On that note, he gestures to a store not too far down the street. Looks like pizza.]
They're usually not too busy.
no subject
You're lucky I'm naturally inclined to being petite. [ Mmmm. ] I believe I eat more junk food when I go out anywhere with you than I do with anyone else...
[ But let's go, she's motioning him along. ]
no subject
[And really, it's a step up from diet boy back home.]
no subject
I prefer healthier things, honestly. Nothing feels nicer than eating a fresh, crisp salad... Fish is good too, especially when it's cooked perfectly. [ Tender and melt-in-your-mouth...! ] Not to mention a number of other foods... Junk food isn't the end-all be-all of enjoyable foods, is what I mean to say. You can do better than simply getting your fingers all greasy and eating fried foods.
no subject
[Which is a different angle on the fish debate, but still. Soyokaze isn't too far from here, is it? ...He tugs on Liz's hand to guide her elsewhere. New dinner plan.]
I don't each much during the day. A smoothie for breakfast and some fruit, yogurt, or nuts for lunch. That's why dinner's fair game, and so are snacks and ice cream. Maybe things would be different if I knew how to cook.
[Elda's teaching him a few things, but he's still hesitant to commandeer the kitchen. He's comfortable in his routine anyway.]
no subject
Akechi's been teaching me a few things since I asked him to... I'm certain he wouldn't mind helping you out as well. He's a very patient teacher, and he'll even eat your mistakes. [ ...She gives him a mischievous smile, adjusting her grip on her house box. ] I've even added extra spice to the curry he's been instructing me on and claimed it was an accident, just to see if he'd still eat it, and he did.
no subject
I wish I could've been around to see his face while he ate it.
